The annual Burning Man Festival held 120 miles NE of Reno each August is at it's very core an autonomous zone where Money as we know it is just not necessary. Except for Center Camp Cafe (Coffee) & Artica (Ice Sales) there is no need for legal tender; everything within the Gates of Black Rock City is a Gift. The idea of Gifting is one of the core ethos of the Burner Culture which guides its member to freely give of themselves and their talents to all Playa-Wide.

The Art of Gifting is as varied as the individual who attends the week-long festival; from hand made doodads, bracelets, necklaces and anything shiny. One thing that is rarely if ever gifted is any form of currency, coinage or bank note. The mission of Bob's Bank of BRC is to remove the stigma associated with cold hard cash while walking the streets of the Burning Man festival. We hope to allow you to think of dinero in a whole new way as something to gift and be gifted.
